Hi, I'm Jess.

I didn't set out to become a photographer; I ended up here by teaching it. For two years, I taught photojournalism and yearbook class to high schoolers, and somewhere in between explaining aperture and grading assignments, I fell in love with it myself. Watching my students see the world differently through a camera made me want to pick one up and do the same.

What started as something I taught turned into something I couldn't stop doing on my own time. Eventually, I stopped asking "when will I have time for this" and started building a business around it instead.

When I'm not shooting, you'll probably find me curled up with a book, journaling, cooking something new, or writing just for myself. I live in Houston with my partner and our three dobermans, who have absolutely no interest in modeling but plenty of opinions about it anyway.
